SUMMERLAND KEY, Florida: The Monroe County Sheriff's Office has reported that a 35-year-old fisherman had his foot bitten by a shark he had reeled in, sending him to hospital.
The sheriff's office said the man was fishing off a dock in Summerland Key when he caught the shark over the weekend. However, when it was on the dock it bit the man's foot.
The angler was flown by a trauma helicopter to a hospital in Miami, though his condition was not immediately known, the statement added.
