BENTONVILLE, Arkansas: Walmart is undergoing a significant leadership reshuffle under Chief Executive Officer John Furner, with at least two senior executives leaving the company, according to a Wall Street Journal report published on May 22.
The report, citing people familiar with the matter, said Tom Ward, chief operating officer of Walmart-owned warehouse chain Sam's Club, is among the executives departing.
The head of store operations for Walmart's U.S. business is also leaving, the report said.
The departures mark one of the most notable management shakeups since Furner took over leadership of Walmart's U.S. operations and later expanded his influence across the retail giant's broader strategy.
